The person who originally said "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Was either a liar, or a complete idiot.
Over and over again we put ourselves out there. And over and over again we get burned.
When will we learn?
When Will We Learn!?
Every time, our hearts are stomped on.
Every time, the feeling fades.
Every time, our dreams are broken and taken away.
Yet still we put ourselves out there, over and over.
For what?
Affirmation?
Acceptance?
The hope that this time it will be right?!?
It never will be
It NEVER will be.
Men, women, straight, gay, bi, all of you, listen to me:
STOP.
It never works.
It NEVER works.
It always leads to heartbreak in the end.
ALWAYS.
Those couples that stayed together all those years? They did it to keep up appearances or "for the sake of the children." They spend those twilight years hating each other or ignoring each other.
Never love.
You will always lose.
Always.
